Real version: After co-writing a screenplay with a friend of mine in my last year at Mount Allison University, I had started and abandoned numerous stories and pieces. Most of my problem was just good ol’ fashioned lack of discipline. I also have this problem of wanting to blog on my regular journal but not really having much to talk about besides the usual mundane shit. I decided to start this particular blog in April 2010 as an outlet for the more random writings I put together; this is a work in progress and I don’t know what the final form of this space is going to turn into but I might as well try to have fun with the whole thing.
Bullshit version: The lyrics to the song “In The Park” by The Fall is a charming ditty about deviant things like sex in public, brown monk ghosts and huckleberry masks. What is the significance of huckleberry masks? Perhaps masks of Huckleberry Finn? This site is a warning to those who engage in deviant behaviours with ghosts while wearing these masks, mainly because anyone caught in these acts inevitably is a weirdo. The last time I’ve been this freaked out about anything was when I was in a bar and saw that someone had spilled water on Stephen Harper, the Prime Minister of Canada, who began to smoke and rattle off long strings of binary code. Really, though, this is an excuse to get drinks out of famous people and perhaps end up passed out in more interesting places than where I usually end up: under a Christmas tree.
